You can also assign keyboard equivalents using the 'Input Editor' found on the 'System' menu on the menu bar. Locate the command in the list (usually visible at the bottom of the history), then RMB+click and choose 'Map Command to Key'. To assign a keyboard shortcut to a command, fire the command from the interface, then expand the Command History viewport, located in the lower right hand corner of the interface. When using keyboard with reduced keys (such as on a laptop), refer to the menu bar equivalent or remap often used commands. Key mappings are identical on both Windows and Macintosh systems, with the exception of the basic Macintosh key commands 'Open' (Cmd+O), 'Save' (Cmd+S), 'Quit' (Cmd+Q), 'Cut' (Cmd+X), 'Copy' (Cmd+C), 'Paste' (Cmd+V) and 'Undo'/'Redo' (Cmd+Z).
By also allowing the 'Ctrl', 'Shift' and 'Alt' key qualifiers (including combinations thereof), you have a wide array of keys to choose from.
These keyboard shortcuts can also be reassigned, customizing MODO to a users specific needs. Any command in MODO can have a keyboard shortcut assigned to it. Keyboard shortcuts can really streamline the user experience, by mapping specific functions to simple keyboard key presses.
